How Facebook and the Internet can help you keep the weight off

Posting your weight loss progress in before-and-after pictures, inches, pounds and exercise results on Facebook offers a mixture of accountability and sociability. And that equals success, not only during your initial IGNITE™ program, but on to your 90-day goals and even your business-building goals.

Once you know you have friends following you and enrolling in Xyngular® because of what you're doing, your incentives for continuing your journey and keeping the weight off goes way up.

Motivation and support: Two major keys to permanent weight loss

Posting your weight loss progress in before-and-after pictures, inches, pounds and exercWe all know how helpful it is to have a good friend who can give us that extra push to head to the gym when you'd rather lie on the couch, or chose to stay home for a wholesome meal when it's easier to head for the fast food. It's best when that friend is also trying to lose weight and understands what we're going through — the ups and the downs.

Not everyone has access to a friend, who is going through the same challenges we are. That's why the Internet and Facebook can be great helps. On the Internet in many places you can get access to hundreds of people, many of whom are also committed to getting healthy and achieving their ideal weight. They'll want to share their ideas with you, and you can share Xyngular with them. They will self-select and become your biggest fans and supporters.

The Internet also gives you a place to keep a record of your weight loss goals, your discoveries about food habits and your progress.

Using the Internet as a health and weight loss tool

Posting your weight loss progress in before-and-after pictures, inches, pounds and exercBeyond Facebook the Internet gives you access to an incredible wealth of information on health and weight loss that previous generations did not have. We can share on comments in blogs ideas about Xyngular and weight loss that could change the very fabric of the future for thousands of people.

Thanks to the Internet there are "tribes" everywhere, connecting people with similar interests and goals all across the globe. Even people with extreme challenges can find each other and connect. This is how the famous story of Nancy Makin came about. She told TIME Magazine that she was able to go from 703 pounds down to 170 pounds because of the supportive, and accepting friends she found on the Internet.

Identify and write about your weight loss enemies and advocates

Posting your weight loss progress in before-and-after pictures, inches, pounds and exercA great way to use the Internet for weight loss is to share what you learn twice a week in your ConneXions. For example, many people share on the Internet that their dietary enemy #1 is fructose in the form High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) in sodas, energy drinks and fruit drinks.

You can share how being on IGNITEâ„¢ also helped you identify where you were throwing your body into fat-storage and how "protein days" changed all that. You were finally able to regulate your insulin so you could keep your body in a fat-burning mode.

ACTION STEPS:

1. Spend some time surfing the Internet for free weight-loss blogs where you can share Xyngular through comments and reporting your progress.

2. Use Facebook to post your before-and-after pictures, inches lost, pounds lost and continued progress. Don't forget to share what you're learning.

3. Keep files of your favorite ConneXion articles about weight loss. Underline and share ideas from these articles and refer readers to Xyngular for more information.

How to tell the difference between a legitimate Network Marketing business like Xyngular® and a disguised pyramid scheme

Occasionally Xyngular Distributors will meet someone who wants to join Xyngular but is extremely cautious or has a trusted friend or family member who needs you to explain the difference between a "pyramid scheme" and a legitimate Network Marketing opportunity.
The difference is in the goal. Pyramid schemes want to make money from you (and fast). Legitimate Network Marketing companies want to make money with you as everyone builds their business together selling products.

A great way to tell the difference is to ask these three questions:

1. What does it cost to become a Distributor?
If there's a huge startup cost, it may be a pyramid! The start-up fee at Xyngular is small (only $15). We want to make it easy and inexpensive for you to start selling and making money right away. Pyramid schemes, or pyramids disguised as MLMs, on the other hand, make most of their profit by signing up new recruits. The cost to become a Distributor is usually high. Caution: pyramids often disguise entry fees as training fees, extra back office services, sales tools, a large inventory, etc. These fees may not be expensive or "required," but there will be a lot of pressure to "take full advantage of the opportunity."

2. Will the company buy back unsold inventory?
If you could be stuck with unsold inventory, beware! Xyngular doesn't even encourage stocking inventory because it's so easy to order. The only reason to start with a 360 PV order at Xyngular is so you have experience with all the products and so you have samples to share and get started. Xyngular has an unconditional guarantee. Customers and Distributors have nothing to lose.

3. Are the company's products sold to consumers?
If the answer is no (or not many), stay away! The success of Network Marketing (like other retail methods) depends on selling products to consumers. This requires competitively priced, high quality products like Xyngular's. Pyramid schemes, however, are not very concerned about sales to customers. Profits are made on sales of expensive inventory to new recruits. They buy the products, not because they need them or because they are competitively priced, but because they have to buy them to participate in the scheme.

Warning signs
• Pressure to sign up too quickly
• Promises of extremely high or guaranteed income
• Easy money for hardly any work at all
• A huge up-front fee which is higher than the value of the products, kits or training
• A large fee payable before you receive anything in return
• An unwillingness to share income disclosure documents

How to assure your prospects that Xyngular is a solid opportunity
1. Encourage them to take their time. Assure them by saying, "Don't let me rush you. Xyngular is not going to disappear overnight. I'm not telling you to get in on the ground floor because people who join later will be left out in the cold. It's because those who join after you will be included in the bonus pool income you will earn."
2. Encourage them to ask questions:
• About the company and its officers.
• About the products — their competitive cost at retail and online and the size and growth of the market.
• About everything included in the enrollment fee and their initial order.
• About the company's product guarantee.
• About the average earnings of active distributors.

3. Download and show them all the company literature available in their back office.
4. Have 3-way calls with your upline and even with customers who have had experience with Xyngular and its products. Assure them that the products are actually being sold to customers.
5. Suggest places to look to confirm what you've told them
• Direct Selling Association
• Your local Chamber of Commerce
• Better Business Bureau
• Public library
• Nearby university
• State Attorney General's Consumer Fraud Division
• National Fraud Information Center

6. Have them ask themselves, "Would I buy this product if I only wanted to take advantage of the opportunity?" If the answer is no, they need to think twice about the opportunity.

ACTION STEPS:

1. Prepare a fact sheet with information from this article or something from the Direct Selling Association explaining the difference between a legitimate opportunity and a pyramid scheme.

2. Prepare a list of questions you'd be happy to answer about the company, its leadership, the products, start-up fees, realistic costs of doing business, average earnings of distributors, return policies, and anything else you feel they may be concerned about.

3. Download copies of all important company literature from your Back Office. Either show it to them or give them copies to read.

Try a different lure today

We don't want to offend anyone who has been suggesting using only one method to prospect for new Xyngular® customers and Distributors, but there are some things we've heard people say that don't work very well. Yet we've also learned that they really work well for others. Our suggestion ... try a few new things to attract those you really want to work with.

For example, some people say you shouldn't ever go to the mall and just talk with people about Xyngular. And yet there are amazing stories about Distributors who specialize in cold contacting wherever they are. It's a perfect way to force yourself to talk, talk, talk and get to know the needs of a lot of people in a very short time.

Others say "Don't chase leads. It's too difficult. It doesn't work very well." Yet we know professional networkers who purchase leads all the time and become very good at qualifying them and training them. Sometimes those who only focus on their warm market run out of leads and quit. If you can transfer them over to cold market leads and train them well, you can keep them connected and building for much longer.

Some say you should wait on your warm market until you've proven that you can bring people into the company in a professional way. Yet a lot of people aren't comfortable contacting people they don't know at first. It's good for most new Distributors to learn on their warm market first.

Some people say you should never ever advertise. It's a waste of time. Yet we know of some major players in this industry who came in by way of advertising. They focus on targeted ads for the perfect Xyngular Distributor. It takes a lot of interviewing to find the perfect candidate, but it can be worth it.

Lots of great people have come in through trade shows and fairs. Some people simply attend all the fairs and shows they can and collect business cards. They talk to a ton of people about their health and what they'd like in an ideal career. Then they follow up by phone.

Our philosophy is this, "Build by using a lot of methods of prospecting all the time." It takes so little effort to do some of them, you may as well have them out there working for you.

It's like fishing, if one type of bait doesn't work, try another. If one prospecting method feels like it's not working as well for you as it used to, you can shift to another. You always have something cooking out there. You're always excited about the results you're having, and you have something new to talk to your team about at all times to keep their excitement and confidence up. It's like having a lot of fishing lines in the water at the same time with a different lure or fly on each one.

ACTION STEPS:

1. Make a list of prospecting methods you haven't tried yet or haven't tried lately. Set a goal to try something new every month.

2. Study up by reading in the personal development literature and training programs how the best Distributors use the new method you're considering. There are a lot more great free network marketing training programs on the Internet than you think there are. Get some recommendations from your upline on the best of the best.

3. Work with your accountability partner to make sure you don't overdo it and waste time on a system that doesn't suit you well or doesn't give you enough great results for the time or money you spend.

A sense of urgency gets everything done better and faster with real momentum

All of us at Xyngular® can reach success faster if we always cultivate a sense of urgency...urgency to make an appointment, urgency to get on the corporate calls, urgency to get trained, and urgency to get on the phones and do some recruiting every day. Here's how you do it.
Nowhere is urgency more important than when you've just sponsored a new Distributor. As you get ready to give your first game plan interview, you'll want to remind yourself to deliver a true sense of urgency. You need to inspire your new recruit to get started right and move into results-producing action within their first 72 hours.

Their energy will drop by degrees every day after that. You'll have to "reheat" them, and that can take a lot of extra work. An urgency to get started with "all-out massive action" is vitally important. You'll want to schedule plenty of time for 3-way calls. You want to make presentations with them so they can begin earning a check right away.

It's really exciting if they can make an appointment from their 25-Name List right during your game plan interview.
Prepare them for getting their first rejections. Tell them that this is not a get-rich-quick scheme. It's not easy money. There's a saying in our industry that "if it's easy, it's sleazy." We don't have that kind of company. It takes commitment and good work habits to grow a business like ours.

If you are committed to always holding these game plan interviews within your first 24 to 48 hours after enrollment, your team will grow at a tremendous rate, especially with consistent 3-way calls, team goals and accountability.
People need to be led and coached in their first 90 days. Let them know that you have a lot of respect for them. Tell them how your coach and team guided you along the right path in your first few weeks. Tell them about your personal accountability.

ACTION STEPS:

1. If you have not already done so, go through a game plan interview with someone in your upline. It can even be with a workout partner in your area who is not in your organization. Or it can be held with someone you have personally enrolled.

2. As you hold 3-way calls and sponsor together, calculate how much money you're making from your efforts.

3. Prepare your calendar so you can show your new people the time you are allocating all the time for 3-way calls and the commitments you are reporting to your accountability partner every week.

Changing into leaders

Because of what we do at Xyngular®, we can change where we are. Isn't that wonderful news? We can change everything about ourselves by simply getting together with our team at Xyngular and changing our philosophy and our success habits. It's true. We can completely remake ourselves into lean, beautiful, and successful leaders using the Xyngular model.

As we change, our whole world changes. As we become leaders, our team begins to lead their teams. Our conviction builds our confidence. This process requires personal development.
It's been fascinating watching the personal development of emerging leaders here at Xyngular. It's interesting watching Marc Walker and Glen Oliver identify leaders by how they respond to personal development.

Each of us must decide to allow the Xyngular opportunity to become the vehicle that will change our lives. Xyngular can make us what we want to become. Until we're ready to put off our neglectful philosophies and haphazard habits and become a leader, we will have no followers. We will inspire no commitment.

To become a leader, we must be willing...
• To be the first to change ourselves
• To choose carefully to associate with a team of believers not dream destroyers
• To hold on to fundamental principles of personal development UNTIL we become leaders

Think of that important word "until." How many weeks are you going to cycle through IGNITE programs UNTIL you lose the total amount of weight you need to lose? How many days at the gym or early morning walks will you do UNTIL you're healthy again? How many 3-way calls will you schedule UNTIL you have someone sponsored? How many Success Weeks of presenting the product, company, and opportunity to 5 or 6 people are you going to have UNTIL you have a Success Month? How many Success Months are you willing to commit to—of enrolling 2 or more and training them to do exactly what you do—UNTIL you reach your financial goals? How many books or CDs on personal development will you listen to? How many Conference Calls will you attend UNTIL you become a leader in every sense?

It's wonderful to watch new Distributors take on the Xtreme Builder Challenge. What would it make of you to take yourself through all levels of this Challenge? What would you have to become to reach that amazing goal? Imagine yourself at a meeting for your own group at a convention two years from now. Will there be a thousand people present? How grateful will they be to you for bringing them to Xyngular?

a choice to dream the impossible dream or live a more practical, sensible and hopeless life. We can abandon the impossible dream or we can become the miracle workers with the power to give our fellow men hope and vision of what they may become. What will your future be?

ACTION STEPS:
1. Create your "UNTIL" list of things you will do UNTIL you reach your goal.

2. Read the stories of Xyngular leaders in the Momentum. What level of commitment do you see to personal development. Learn and repeat these amazing stories to yourself and your team members.

To dream the impossible dream

There will always be dream destroyers in our lives. In the play, Don Quixote, Cervantes the poet is ridiculed by a lawyer.
"A man must come to terms with life as it is," says the lawyer.
"My friend," replies Cervantes, "I have lived almost 50 years, and I have seen life as it is. Pain, misery, suffering, cruelty beyond belief. I have been a soldier and seen my comrades fall in battle or die more slowly under the lash in Africa. I have held them in my arms at the final moment. These were men who saw life as it is, yet they died despairing. No glory, no gallant last words...only their eyes filled with confusion, whimpering the question, "why?" I do not think they asked why they were dying, but why they had lived.

Sometimes, as members of Xyngular® family we need to remember the misery, the suffering, and the cruelty of a world without the Xyngular message. Have you personally known someone suffering from the despair of a "preventable disease" brought on by obesity? Have you seen the despairing looks in the eyes of someone caught in a dead-end job, murmuring the question, "Why? Why does this keep happening to me?" To get yourself serious about this business, go to a mall and watch heavy people move slowly and painfully through life. Think of the hope Xyngular offers them. Get to know some people whose lives have been crushed by this economy.

Cervantes goes on, "When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies? Too much sanity may be madness. To seek treasure where there is only trash. Perhaps to be practical is madness. And maddest of all to see life as it is and not as it ought to be."

The featured song in this play is "The Impossible Dream." At Xyngular our principles of health, wellness and leadership skills can be passed on to thousands.

Can we see beyond today when all over the world tens of thousands will be sharing the Xyngular message? Can you hear them calling neighbors and sharing the dialog you taught them on your first 3-way calls? Can you see the renaissance of hope for better health and a better life through Xyngular products and personal development. That's when we will know that we have succeeded, when this message takes on a life of its own and can't be stopped.

We have a choice to dream the impossible dream or live a more practical, sensible and hopeless life. We can abandon the impossible dream or we can become the miracle workers with the power to give our fellow men hope and vision of what they may become. What will your future be?

ACTION STEPS:

1. Create for yourself some emotional stories that inspire you to keep dreaming your "Impossible Dream." Is it a relative, a friend, a business associate that inspires you to want to change? Get someone and let them inspire you. Share with others how this inspires you.

2. What is your "Impossible Dream" for leadership, for weight loss, and for personal development? Write it out. Create it on a dream or vision board with pictures.

You've got to believe it to achieve it

How does your Xyngular® business grow? It's all about belief. It's starts with your personal belief in the product. Next comes your belief that the right people will come together for you. You believing that when you post your before-and-after on Facebook, some of your friends will want to know how you lost so much weight. Then you will need to believe that as you serve them and get them the success they're after, you will get enough people coming together at the right time so you can create a team and get some momentum.
A team can't grow into a great business without some momentum. Momentum is all about belief. It's all about thinking big and really believing that what you are creating in your mind with your team will come to pass.

We all have a choice every day whether we're going to live in a state of belief or a state of doubt. It's like choosing between two rooms. One is bright and sunny with lots of enthusiasm, helpfulness, belief and hope for the future. The other is dark and dingy where there are lots of offenses, criticism, doubts, and hurt feelings. We choose each day which room we want to live in.
When stuff happens that we have to deal with in the dark room, we want to take care of it quickly and get ourselves back in the bright, positive room.

This is a relationship business. We can't build a team with momentum if you're going to hang out in a room where people are always complaining...where it's all about selfish interests, excuses, and pity parties. In the sunny room it's all about the team and helping everyone succeed. It's all about team goals and making a difference in prospects' lives.
Everyone in the sunny room lives by the motto, "I don't want to be the reason why this doesn't happen for you." It's a mutual admiration society where everyone rises to the beliefs that everyone else has in them. It's the heart and culture that you create for your team. It's less about how much money you're making or your next rank advancement and more about looking for people who are hurting and need what Xyngular offers them.

This is the greatest business because the more sunshine and hope you dish out and the more belief you offer to others, the more your business seems to multiplies, duplicate, and grow on its own. The more you love what you do, the more you radiate that sunshine of belief in yourself and others, the more success will naturally come to you.

ACTION STEPS:

1. Follow yourself around for a day and take notes of how much time you spend in your "sunny room" instead of your "dingy, negative room." Start with that awareness and soon you'll be choosing every day to deliberately get away from anything that drains your enthusiasm and saps your energy.

2. Make a list of all the things that pull you and your team into a negative space. Make a plan to deal with them quickly and efficiently so you can get back into that positive space.

3. Think of some stories from your past that you can tell about making a deliberate choice to move yourself into a positive frame of mind. Tell about the results you got when you did. The next time someone starts loading negativity on you, share one of these stories. Then tell them how you want to get past this quickly so you can stay in a frame of mind where you can help others make some money.

Ninety-nine no's

One of the greatest advantages of our Xyngular® business is that no matter who you are or where you come from, the starting line is always in the same place. In this business education, experience, training and speaking ability have much less to do with success than other factors. On the starting line, we all invest in some products, and we go to work.

We all start at month one and shoot toward month 12. Is there any possible way to get to month 12 without passing through all the months in between one and 12? No. It can't be done. We are on a level playing field—everyone is equal when they start out.

The first time you talk to someone about Xyngular, you may feel uncomfortable and think you somehow messed up if they didn't join. That's okay. Not everyone will join you, nor will you want them to. Your job is simply to share the message and work the process. Think of it this way... You have achieved an important goal just by sharing the message. You should be proud of yourself.

Throughout our lives we have been taught to focus on results rather than the process. But at Xyngular that can be counter-productive. So here's a great way to guarantee our success here.

• We commit to working the business for one full year—a full 12 months.
• We try to get 99 people to say "no" to the Xyngular message during that year.
• We don't keep track of any results except the "no's."
• Once we have 99 "no's," statistics have proven that we will have a huge business.

What some people try to do is get 99 "yes's." As a result of their unreal expectations, when they get a few "no's" it devastates them, and they leave the business during those critical early months before they see the wonderful compounding effect of Xyngular's viral duplication.

We all need to get excited about the "no's." It's impossible to get enough people to say "yes" unless you have some who say "no." If you focus on getting your "no's," you will automatically see more and more people say "yes." It will become more and more difficult for you to get a "no." You will relax, gain confidence, and be patient about building your business according to proven systems.

Here's our goal...try to get 99 "no's" from people who have heard and seen the complete Xyngular message.
The motivating thing about working to get 99 "no's" is that by the time you get 30 or 40 of them, you really know what you're doing. You have made yourself a more sociable, fun individual. You have greater confidence. You start seeing the number of "no's" begin to decrease. With this greater confidence, you can go back over your list of "no's" and ask them if you can share the message with them again.

It's amazing to see this process begin to work. Beware of frustration at this point. You are legitimately working toward 99 "no's," and when what used to be "no's" start to turn into "yes's," you are going to have to talk to a lot more people to reach your goal. Many Distributors who have built large, successful businesses have never reached 99 "no's" because at some point they are just too successful at sending the message. They "know" too much.

That is all part of the magic of Xyngular. Don't be misled, success at Xyngular depends on your commitment to the simple, easy-to-duplicate process, not in your own personal achievements or results. If you get too hung up on gathering your "yes's," you may be misled into thinking you can get away with adjusting and changing the proven process to get better results.

Remember, you are trying to become "insignificant" in the process. You're trying to set the example for your people to believe in the simple process, not in you. They can't have too much admiration or belief in you or they will become overly dependent on you, and you will start becoming too significant. The minute they shift their allegiance to you rather than the process, you begin to fail. They have to maintain faith in the process.

Getting 99 "no's" keeps them thinking about the process and the simple, powerful Xyngular message—not themselves. That's where you want them to be.

ACTION STEPS:

1. Start a "99 no's" chart and keep score. Celebrate your score with your team. See who on your team can reach 99 legitimate no's first.

2. Keep track of your mood when you get your first no's. After a few weeks of keeping track of your no's, take your mood temperature again and see if you don't feel a lot more confident and self-assured about gathering no's.

Plug in to your team for the right energy

How well would you iron a shirt with gasoline instead of water? If you light the match something will happen...but you may not get much ironing done. That's like motivation without direction. It gets you nowhere. How well would it work if your iron isn't plugged in?
At Xyngular you're in business for yourself but not by yourself, so don't try to pour in the type of fuel you used somewhere else to get this business to work for you.

To succeed here you need to be "PLUGGED IN" to your team, to conference calls, to 3-way calls, to morning shows, to the motivation you get from attending regional meetings and conventions. Read the tremendous success stories that come from every single Sundance Retreat, every cruise, and every getaway. That's being plugged in.

Truly one of the most important gifts you can your new enrollees is to get them plugged in to the excitement that is everywhere in Xyngular. This is a business of support and relationships. We can't afford to let anyone go it alone even though they may have been a tremendous success in some other area of their lives.

One of the biggest complaints people have about network marketing companies is that they get no support from their sponsor. We don't ever let that happen at Xyngular. We have "one team, one dream," and everyone helps everyone succeed. We just have to get each of us plugged in.

What happens to your motivation if you miss listening to a training call just one week? You may not think that one call will make that much of a difference. Life is busy. You always think you're going to make it up by listening to the recorded call the next day. And that can work, but only if you do it consistently.

A simple positive habit, consistently applied will mean all the difference in your success at Xyngular. There's something about a live call, a live event, or a trip you win. It does something magical to your business. It builds your belief that you can make a lot of money here and do a lot of good. And that's what drives your success—belief.

That's the business we're in—building belief. Hearing people tell about their financial or weight loss successes then sharing their stories with others is a wonderful energy boost for everyone. It's the electricity on which this business runs.
Never miss an opportunity to get yourself and your team "plugged in."

ACTION STEPS:

1. Keep a list of phone numbers handy for conference calls. Post the company and team events that are coming up. Put them all on your weekly calendar.

2. Keep a list or file of exciting success stories from the calls and meetings you attend. Make it a habit to share the excitement in your Facebook groups, in texts to your team, on phone calls. Don't go anywhere without sharing a great story you heard when you were "plugged in."

"Perseverance pays off" for Dixie Fails in the Xtreme Builder Challenge

I reached the first level of the Xtreme Builder Challenge by keeping my motivation fresh.

I made sure that everyone on my team had plenty of training, answers to all their questions and lots of mentoring. This was all very new to me, but by studying and believing in the product, it became easy to explain the health benefits of the Xyngular® products to everyone who was interested. I came to know the products inside and out.

Then I advertised by word of mouth, on Facebook and by simply showing off my "before and after" pictures. This caused a lot of sparks. I made sure that those sparks didn't burn out, and here I am, going strong. I know that perseverance pays off.
